Time for a New Year Resolution?
Nearly everyone who signs up as an Associate tells us, "I've been meaning to do it for ages but never got around to it...". Isn't it time you took the plunge in 2012 and did something to improve your driving? Everyone develops bad habits over the years and begins to lose their edge. Come along on a Sunday morning and give it a go - a trial run is free.

Winter Driving Tips from the IAM
The IAM has launched a new website called Winter Driving Advice at www.drivingadvice.org.uk - why not take a look? There are some excellent tips there, especially about driving in snow and ice.

IAM Skills Days
The IAM holds regular track-based skills days where you can explore the performance of your car or bike. And now it's no longer restricted to IAM members. Dates for 2012 are now available at Stowe and Croft. Click here to go to the IAM website.

Momentum Young Driver Assessment
It’s late. You’ve got a car full of mates. They’re fired up and encouraging you to ‘step on it’. The road’s a bit wet, and you’re not that familiar with this stretch. Now… how good a driver are you really?
The IAM is introducing an assessment scheme for young drivers. It's not a test and you don't pass or fail. It costs just £40. Read about it here.

Motorway Familiarisation Course

Pete Pinnington's Award
Pete Pinnington, whose music show goes out on Wire FM (107.2 on the FM band) from 3-7pm weekdays and 10-2 on Saturdays, joined us in 2010 as an Associate to brush up his driving skills and progressed very well, passing the advanced test in November 2010. Latest news - While presenting for Wire FM at Powerbike 2011 at Poplar 2000 on 17 April, Pete was presented with honorary membership of Warrington Advanced Motorists by our Chairman, Andrew Bloomer.
